Workspace

This directory is special – photohack uses it as a source for generating output images. This works with the image variant concept, where the variant is set to read images from the Workspace directory instead of the Camera directory.

The point is that sometime photohack isn’t able to do everything you want to an image. So you generate an image with photohack that is written to the Workspace directory, modify it with whichever image processing program you like, and then use photohack again to generate output images.

Here is the basic sequence of commands, which will be explained in more detail elsewhere.

$ photohack generate @workspace 17
  [Edit image file in the Workspace directory in fav photo editor, then save]
$ photohack variant 17 +newimg %workspace
$ photohack generate @web newimg
